According to last report from Bolsa de Cereales of Buenos Aires, registered high temperatures continue the damage of the expected soyabeans yield. Around 56% of the area is considered to be in poor or very poor conditions, while only 35% is in fair condition. Up to now, crop estimations show 34.5 million tons compared to 43.8 millions of the previous campaign. Anyway, the drought is not finished and would continue damaging the yield.
Regarding sunflowerseed, the crop reached 23.5% of the sown area (2 millions de hectars). Plants condition shows that 75% of the total is in fair to excellent condition.
This week finished the sowing for the present campaign reaching the expected 7.1 millions hectares. This figure is 600.000 hectares less than the previous campaign. Drought probably will affect the yield but can not be calculated yet.
